I'm Joshua, a professional builder and software engineer based in Tyler, Texas. I turn product ideas into working applications, build the systems behind them, and use thoughtful testing to make them reliable. I contribute to production web experiences and turn client needs into practical MVP requirements and technical plans, working with Next.js, TypeScript, and modern deployment workflows.

Wonderhood Project

As a founding software engineer, I help build a learning and community platform for families, focusing on backend APIs, data models, and authentication. I also develop Playwright test coverage for its public site.

QA Wolf

I built and maintained Playwright end-to-end tests for customer applications, investigated defects and CI failures, and worked directly with customers to keep coverage aligned with their products.

• Designed, implemented, and maintained Playwright end-to-end test suites in JavaScript for multiple customer applications.
• Investigated application defects, flaky tests, and CI failures, documenting findings that helped teams distinguish product issues from automation or environment failures.

• Contributed to a production landing page built with Next.js 16, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, and shadcn/ui, following engineering standards and Vercel deployment workflows.
• Translated client needs and product concepts into MVP requirements and technical plans, including a conditional legal-intake platform and a persistent-browser Playwright testing tool.

Software Engineer / QA Engineer · Wonderhood Project

• As a founding software engineer for the WUNDR Learning Project, built across a Next.js and TypeScript frontend and a FastAPI and Python backend, with a primary focus on backend development. Designed APIs, data models, and authentication for family enrollment, programs, payments, and volunteer coordination.
• Established and maintained a dedicated Playwright and TypeScript QA repository for a nonprofit community platform, starting with automated homepage smoke coverage and reusable end-to-end flows.

• Designed and implemented backend architecture for Fair Job, a job portal built with Next.js, TypeScript, Firebase, and Firestore.
